Guided by our knowledgeable Antarctic Guides or dedicated Penguin Keepers, you’ll embark on a captivating 40-minute journey delving into the daily routines of a Penguin Keeper. Explore the inner workings of our vet room, marvel at intriguing specimens like penguin feathers, eggs, and skeletons; and expand your penguin knowledge in ways you never thought possible.

The Little Blue Penguin is the smallest species of penguin originating from New Zealand. Primarily nocturnal on land, they are sometimes found close to human settlements, often nesting under or around coastal buildings, keeping locals up at night with their noisy vocal displays.

ABOUT PENGUIN BACKSTAGE EXPERIENCE
TIMES:
Tours depart at 11.30am and 1.00pm daily.
DURATION:
Approximately 40 minutes. Participants must arrive 30 minutes before the tour.
PARTICIPANTS
:
Limited to a maximum of 6 people. Minimum age requirement is 8 years. Children under 13 years old must be accompanied by someone 14 years or older (booked and paid) during the Backstage Experience.
INCLUSIONS:
Your Penguin Backstage Experience includes a General Admission attraction entry ticket.
EXPERIENCE DETAILS:
Tours are in English only. Please note you will not be able to touch or feed our penguins on this tour. This experience is not recommended for those sensitive to strong smells.
