Re-opening Special – Kids Go Free*!
Our penguins and huskies would be the first to tell you that the coolest thing to do this Winter is to come out to visit us all at the International Antarctic Centre. Learn about our penguins, cuddle and get a selfie with a husky, challenge yourself in our Storm Dome, get as far off-road as you can get on a Haggland ATV Antarctic Vehicle, check out a 4D movie, be enthralled in our HD theatre and learn all about the explorers that have gone before us and about the current research and science happening on the ice. We’ve got so many experiences available for you and your friends and family to enjoy and what better time than now, when we can offer a special “Kids Go Free*” deal?!
We are excited to be able to re-open our doors, and we want everyone to celebrate (safely!). For the month of June, 3 kids (aged 5-14 years; kids under 5 years are always free!) can enter for free, with every paying adult.
Tip: plan your visit with plenty of time to catch penguin feeding (10.30am and 3.30pm).
*Offer is for a maximum of 3 children aged 5-14 years per Adult General Admission ticket purchased. Children must be booked at the same time the Adult’s ticket is booked. Not available in conjunction with any other offer or discount.
Important points to note:
We will be open from Queen’s Birthday weekend onwards as follows:
Saturday 29th May – Monday 31st May, 9am – 4.30pm; then
Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays 9am – 4.30pm until further notice.
We are committed to ensuring your safety is paramount. Please be prepared to follow crew directions and instructions.
We will require you to note your name and email address for contact tracing purposes. Please be patient with us as we collect these details.
Need caffeinating? Bring a clean keep-cup (with lid) and we’ll happily let you order a coffee from our café to take with you into the attraction!
Love your visit? You can upgrade to an Ambassador Club Membership before you leave – and your ticket price can be credited towards it! Ask at our Ticketing Desk, and our friendly crew will happily sort you out.
Thank you for supporting the International Antarctic Centre. We are grateful and proud to be located in Canterbury and appreciate your support more than ever before.
